The Tamson D892 apparatus tests the foaming characteristics of lubricating oils at 24°C and 93.5°C, addressing issues like inadequate lubrication, cavitation, and overflow. It features two visibility baths (one for high and one for low temperatures), each with a 300 mm diameter and 450 mm height glass jar.
The baths have powder-coated cases, stainless steel covers, and cooling coils, accommodating up to four 1000 ml foam cylinders. The system includes a rack for cooling foam cylinders, four flow meters, and a removable spill tray. Benefits include high temperature stability, a robust construction, and CE compliance. Optional digital mass flow meters and configurations for ASTM D6082 and D1881 tests are also available.
